Not sure if this the right forum for this, but how do I change the subject heading of the email generated to notify people who have contributed to a thread that they are participating in? We want to make the subject line more clearly associated with our forum.

Hi Katie,
The email notification will show as coming from your site and will include the name of the forum. |

Hi Laura- Thank you again for your quick responses!! Is there anyway to configure that text a little more?
Right now, the from field designates that it is coming from our Community, but the subject line now seems to be set up to pull, the persons postings first name and a few sentences of their post. Here is an example of a subject line: Colby Cooper posted 'Hi Katie, this is a great discussion topic and an issue I...' I am guessing that this is configurable at least somewhat because when I get an email from you on this topic its subject is: "Reply to thread 'Common Forums tasks'" We would ideally like something like: [YA Community] History and Philosophy: Reply to thread "What are some good books?" or [Name of our community] Name of Forum: Reply to thread "Name of thread" |

I don't believe this is configurable.
The forums use vBulletin software. There are various configuration settings which you can access by selecting Admin Tools, Forum Control Panel. |

Is it possible to get more advice on where these settings might be? I have looked through the Control Panel options and just can't seem to find it. It could be right in front of me
![]() It must be at least partially configurable because the subject line of the emails that I am receiving from this very forum are different from the ones in our forums. Can you find out how that was set up? If this is easier to discuss by phone or PM I don't mind taking this offline. Thanks! |

Hi Katie - I am going to create a support case for this and reply to you this way.
Thanks, Laura |
