Is there a way for the Forums page to "remember" my preferences in terms of collapsing / expanding the various topics.

Ron, You can change the default display options in the Forums Control Panel. Go to Admin Tools > Forum Control Panel. Select vBulletin Options.

One of the settings is Threaded/Hybrid Mode Options - you might want to change these settings.

However this will change the option for everyone.

If you are using the arrow keys to collapse forum categories, these should remain collapsed the next time you access the forums.
